Why I built this
Laid off in 2023, I believed I'd quickly land a good job — maybe even my dream role. I couldn't have been more wrong.
The soul-crushing reality of the job market hit hard. For two years I sent thousands of applications and burned hundreds of irreplaceable hours, only getting cold rejections like:
"We regret to inform you that, after careful consideration, we have decided not to move forward."
That was my breaking point. I decided to fight fire with fire.
Now I'm building the tool I wish I'd had so that you can avoid my pitfalls and win faster.

Same candidate. Different resume.
Paste your resume and a job description. AI rewrites the rest.
The game has changed.
In 2026, ATS rejection is the default. Customization isn't optional anymore, it's the cost of entry.
If you're not customizing your resume for every single role you apply to, it's highly unlikely you'll even make it into the batch of applications selected for a screening call.
Why? Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
The job market today is brutally competitive. Companies often receive hundreds of applications within hours of posting a role. To win, your resume must be tailored to beat the ATS filter and speak directly to the hiring manager.

Frequently asked questions
Will this actually get me more interviews?
The tool doesn't guarantee interviews — nothing honest can. What it does is remove the most common reason qualified candidates get filtered out before a hiring manager ever sees their resume: ATS keyword mismatch. If your experience is genuinely a fit for the role, an ATS-friendly resume optimized for the job description makes sure the system doesn't discard you before a recruiter gets the chance to agree.
How is this different from just asking ChatGPT to rewrite my resume?
ChatGPT will rewrite your resume if you ask it to, but it doesn't systematically extract keywords from the job description, match them to your experience, and weave them in at the density and placement that ATS algorithms are specifically looking for. This tool is built to do that one job well. It's the difference between a general resume builder and one designed specifically for beating applicant tracking systems.
What makes this different from a resume builder?
Resume builders take your resume and format it in a nicely designed template. ResumeAgent isn't a template. It takes your resume and optimizes it for the job description of the job that you are applying for, creating an ATS-friendly resume written by AI to pass the ATS filter and land on the desk of the recruiter or hiring manager responsible for moving candidates forward in the hiring process.
Is my resume data safe? Do you store it?
Yes, your data is safe. No, we don't store your data. The tool is session-based, meaning your resume, cover letter and the job description exist only for the duration of your session and are never stored, logged, or associated with an account. There are no accounts. Once you close the tab on your browser, the data is gone. Because your resume contains personal information we believe it shouldn't live on a server somewhere. And we also believe that way too many websites today require you to create an account, routinely change your password, etc!
What formats can I download my optimized resume in?
You can download in 8 formats including Word (.docx) and PDF. Word is recommended for easily making any final changes you might want, PDF if you're submitting. Most ATS systems parse both, though some older systems handle Word better — worth keeping both on hand.
Do I need to reoptimize my resume for every job I apply to?
Yes — and that's the whole point. A resume optimized for a Senior Account Executive role at a SaaS company should look meaningfully different from one targeting a Business Development Manager role at a logistics firm, even if your experience is identical. ATS systems are matching your resume against a specific job description, not your general career. One optimized resume per application is the approach that actually works in 2026.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
Contact me via the URL provided in your receipt. This is a one-person product built from my own experience of a brutal job search, and while $5 might be less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks, I know how hard things are out there and this tool was created to help people in a small but meaningful way. If the output genuinely didn't do what it promised, I'll make it right.
Does this work for all industries and job types?
It works for any role that has a written job description, which is effectively every white-collar and knowledge-worker position. That means roles in tech, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and healthcare administration. It won't help much for trades, creative portfolio roles where the work speaks for itself, or positions where hiring is done entirely through personal referral — but for anything involving an online application and an ATS, it applies.
What exactly does the AI change about my resume?
It extracts the specific keywords, phrases, and competencies from the job description — including ones that aren't obvious, like required tools, methodologies, and role-specific language — and rewrites your bullet points and summary to incorporate them naturally. It doesn't fabricate experience or add skills you don't have. It surfaces and reframes what's already there in the language the job description is asking for.
Why is it so cheap?
Because the cost should be lower than the hesitation over deciding whether to use it. Most resume builders and resume writing services require you to sign up for a subscription that costs between $30 and $150 each month. This is $5, instant, and you can do it for every single application. The pricing is intentional — a per-application tool only makes sense if it costs less than the mental math of deciding whether to use it. Also, and truly, because things are tough out there right now and I know the struggle that folks are dealing with.
Can I use it more than once?
Each payment covers one ATS-friendly resume optimized for one job description. If you're applying to multiple roles — which you should be — you'd pay per application. At $5 a session, applying to 10 carefully selected roles costs $50 and takes an hour. That's a better ROI than most things you'll spend $50 on during a job search.
